     This page is currently under heavy revision. I have pulled down the websites for most of the classes I taught at LSU with the exception of the following three classes.  Over the next couple of weeks, I intend to add syllabi for my BRCC classes. 

Contemporary Public Address

     Undergraduate honors course on contemporary American public address. This course is an undergraduate honors course, which means it is fairly work intensive and the enrollment is usually pretty small. The course assignments are structured based on individual grading contracts and so blank contracts and descriptions of the assignments are given on this page. Additionally, most of the course reading material is on line so this page includes links to contemporary speeches and several readings about public address.

The Rhetoric of Cyberculture

     Undergraduate course taught at Arizona State University Department of Communication (Summer 1998) and Louisiana State University Department of Speech Communication (Fall 2001 and Fall 2003). This page has a separate design. Also, since Fall 2003, several of the links have become unavailable so the syllabus page needs to be updated, which I will do when I teach the class again. The course assignments are labs based on various technocultural experiences. There are lab assignment sheets and a couple of student examples. Also, students are required to make a homepage. For most of them, it's their very first foray into doing this, so the homepages aren't eye-candy. Nonetheless, I have linked to the homepages on the course website. I have not checked to see which ones are still functional.

Introduction to Graduate Studies in Communication

     Graduate class taught at LSU. The course teaches students the basic skills and resources needed for graduate school. The course website has great resources for beginning graduate students -- how to read for classes, how to present papers and handle questions -- as well as assignments details for all of the class assignments
